As a tarot reader (and HSP/Empath) I get a little nervous when I pull the five of anything. I liken the fives to being five years old; you’re not a baby and you’re not a big kid. So much changes at five (perhaps going to school). We are learning so much on a daily basis and are also becoming aware of what society expects of us. It’s a lot of speak now/be quiet, stand up/sit down, go play/come in. It can create a lot of big feelings, namely Anger, which we are not taught how to embrace and channel. We are taught that angry feelings are bad, which is a missed opportunity to get to know a very valid part of ourselves.
Tangent over! The Five of Wands signifies feeling competitive, or perhaps playing games (ie manipulating) to try and get our way. If this card comes up, it is an invitation to take a deep breath and get back to basics. What do you want AND how can you achieve that in a way that supports your ethics. Meditate on how to compromise OR just reduce the noise. Maybe you unfollow some folks on social media who make you feel less than. We are in competition with no one. The only you is YOU. Let that shine.
